As we move through adulthood, we typically encounter a wide range of events and experiences. These can be exciting opportunities to develop and achieve positive things in our lives. At the same time, some events may cause stress that you find difficult to manage or may even be overwhelming. Sometimes life can go completely to plan, or may tick along nicely in meeting your needs and making you happy. However, sometimes life can go off track and you may want to get some extra support to help you to feel balanced and find the path that works for you.

Issues may relate to work pressures, your social life, relationships, family, identity, neurodivergence, self care, financial pressure, trauma that may be recent or from some time ago, redundancy or retirement. These may lead to experiences of stress, anxiety, depression or addiction, for example.

It can be very normal to sometimes find it hard at first to speak with someone about these kind of things. By reaching out for support, you can help to overcome the isolation that can occur when we keep problems within ourselves, and with every step you take, it can get easier to express your emotions, make sense of what is happening and work out what to do in order to better meet your needs.
